Tutorials

  I created these tutorials (excluding Dr. Brown's) as a part-time Technical Assistant to Dr. H. Don Scott while he was still at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. They are here not so much the product of Aquarius Engineering as to show what work I was capable of doing, and could do.

• Soil Physics Tutorials; 585 PowerPoint slides in html, with ppt files, a short course in soil physics, from undergraduate to postdoctorate topics.
• A limited tutorial on using finite differences in soil physics problems: for students at the graduate/undergrad level with some understanding of ordinary and partial differential equations. A cook-book approach with equations, computer code and graphic results for heat flow, infiltration and redistribution, and contaminant transport in steady-state flow.
• Dr. Glenn Brown has created a great new site on Darcy's original work.
• A graduate level laboratory in making a thermistor psychrometer from plumbing parts.
• An actual thermistor psychrometer made from plumbing parts.
